Crisis Center of Tampa Bay

We can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by simply calling 2-1-1 on your landline telephone and cell phones in Hillsborough County. Intervention Specialists provide immediate and confidential short-term crisis intervention, emotional support, and comprehensive information & referral to over 2,000 human services available in Hillsborough County, including resources for basic needs for food, rent, clothing, shelter and utilities, relationship counseling, senior services, health, and substance abuse issues, depression and suicide, teenage issues, parenting help, disaster assistance, legal affairs, and financial support.

Re-employment Assistance/Unemployment Compensation

If your employment has been negatively impacted as a result of the mitigation efforts in Florida to stop the spread of COVID-19, you may be eligible to receive Reemployment Assistance (formerly known as Unemployment Benefits) through the State of Florida. Note: Individuals whose employment has been impacted, but are still receiving wages through paid leave are not eligible to receive Reemployment Assistance.

Senior Connection Center

Senior Connection Center operates an Elder Helpline that connects seniors and their caregivers to information, programs, and services including SHINE/Medicare, long-term care, home health, housing, transportation, food, legal, respite, and many other types of assistance.
