Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Information

COVID-19 Testing

Due to the increased demand for COVID-19 testing, the City of Tampa in partnership with the Florida Department of Health has reopened COVID-19 testing sites at Al Lopez Park and Al Barnes Park. Insurance is not required. No appointment is needed for either site, but pre-registration is highly recommended for faster processing. This is how people will receive their test results. If you have a question about your results, please call the Nomi Health COVID Testing Hotline at (904) 295-0562.

COVID-19 Vaccines

COVID-19 vaccines are effective at helping protect against severe disease and death from the virus that causes COVID-19, including known variants currently circulating. As with other routine vaccines, side effects may occur after vaccination. These are normal and should go away within a few days.

Everyone ages 5 and older can get vaccinated against COVID-19. Find a COVID-19 vaccine location near you

Everyone ages 16 years and older can get a COVID-19 booster shot. Visit the CDC website for information on when a person can and should get a booster shot.

No Cost At Home Vaccine Options

DeliveRxd Pharmacy will vaccinate individuals who live in Hillsborough and Pinellas at no cost. Those who would like this option do not have to be homebound or bedridden. Visit deliverxdfl.com for details.

Need Transportation to Get a Vaccine?

If you have Medicaid and need transportation to get your vaccine, there is help. Florida Medicaid will take you to get the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost. All you need to do is set up a time to get your vaccine. Next, let your Medicaid plan know you need a ride and they will take care of the rest. The State of Florida also encourages homebound individuals to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at their home by filling out the survey available here, emailing HomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.com or by calling 866-779-6121.
