Free Community Forum on Depression and Suicide Prevention

Tampa teens, their parents, and all interested individuals are invited to a FREE educational and interactive forum on depression and suicide awareness and prevention. The event, Breaking the Silence: A Community Forum on Depression and Suicide Prevention, will be held on Wednesday, September 27, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., virtually via Zoom.

This forum is sponsored by the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, a program of the City of Tampa that allows local teens to develop their leadership skills and apply them through various service projects and workshops.

Panelists Mrs. Susannah Robinson, Dr. Noelle De La Cruz, and Crisis Center of Tampa Bay representatives, Ms. Lindsay Everest and Ms. Isabel Ellison, will discuss the importance of depression and suicide awareness, share personal experiences, and identify available resources to support those in crisis. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask each of the panelists questions directly in an open discussion.
