United Way Suncoast is providing full scholarships in partnership with and Hillsborough Community College for Certified Nursing Assistant training classes. The next class begins September 6th - November 2nd. Registering and attending one of the Information Sessions is required as the first step in this competitive process.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), also known as Certified Nurse’s Aides, work in a variety of healthcare settings providing basic healthcare services to patients at nursing homes/rehab facilities and hospitals. Qualified residents must reside in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota or Desoto counties, be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
This training program is held in the classroom, labs and online and includes 40 hours in a clinical setting. Upon completion of the course, students are eligible to challenge the CNA state licensing exam or immediately work as a Home Health Aide. Scholarships include student materials, (scrubs, textbooks, BP cuff, etc.), and access to career navigation services, assistance with job placement, soft skills training, financial coaching, and individual support services. Students will be responsible for their Initial Background Check ($50) and Drug Screen ($35). This fee will be reimbursed by United Way Suncoast upon successful completion of the course. CNA Classes will be held T/W/TH from 9a-1pm at HCC's RITHM Uptown (University Mall) 2200 E Fowler Avenue in Tampa.
To be considered for a scholarship, register below for ONE of the upcoming Information Sessions on Tuesday, August 2nd at 12PM or 6PM. Sessions are held via Zoom.
