Water Street Tampa launches its inaugural Sunset Series in April with a well-earned digital break.
Surrendering to your creative senses, guests will have the opportunity to explore, listen and create with words as they join with friends in a unique evening of fun exploring Water Street Tampa. The night’s activities include storytelling with Tampa History Center, listening to Jamie Dawson, a local spoken word artist and enjoying original music by Syd Live, a local singer songwriter.
Experience these Activities:
- The Paper Seahorse, a local boutique, offers you a chance to put your thoughts to paper. Experience the sense of touch as your fingers travel back in time while clicking the keys to create a little written treasure on an old typewriter or beautifully handcrafted paper.
- Yard-sized dice game, Haikubes, offers a chance to throw and create your own Haiku to share with the world or keep just for you.
- Gio’s Typos will create a poem on demand with whatever small thought is on your mind.
- Participate in a community art project by writing your intention, then folding a paper crane to become part of a sculpture that will be created during the evening.
Be sure to stop by the Small Giant Bar & Restaurant patio to enjoy one of the literary-themed cocktails or the Wine on Water patio for a beautiful glass of small-production wine.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Parking is available at 1045 E Cumberland Avenue.
