(Registration details below)

We appreciate the CRA CAC’s help in developing the updated Tampa Comprehensive Plan Vision, as approved by City Council in late July. To implement what we heard from the community, we are moving into the next phases of the overall Comprehensive Plan update.

The first step in the Future Land Use Section Update is to conduct a Future Land Use Assessment – the Planning Commission hired a consultant to help us with looking at the Future Land Use (FLU) categories in the Tampa Comprehensive Plan and associated policy provisions that provide a bonus, incentive, or targeted outcomes above the FLU category in the Plan.  This work and the subsequent amendments will potentially affect housing, shops, and other development in neighborhoods across the City. The consultant would like to meet with the CRA CAC members and subcommittee groups as a first step, and we have set up a virtual meeting on Thursday, September, 15th specifically for meeting with the CRA stakeholders.

If folks from the CRA community are not able to meet then, they are welcome to join the general public virtual meeting on Wednesday, September 21st.

There will be other outreach on the Future Land Use Section following the recommendations, we want to make sure the CRA community is engaged early in the process on the front end. Please pass this along to the CRA managers and others as you see fit. Thanks for your help!
