About Us - Neighborhood Enhancement

The Division of Neighborhood Enhancement formerly Code Enforcement and Clean city Divisions is the City of Tampa entity responsible for enforcing the City of Tampa Ordinances, Chapters 19 and 27.

Neighborhood Enhancement receives and investigates complaints of suspected violations including but not limited to Zoning violations, overgrown lots or yards, inoperative vehicles, maintenance of structures, illegal signs, public nuisances, and anything else that may affect the quality of life within the boundaries of the City of Tampa.

Neighborhood Enhancement also regulates rental properties throughout the city limits. NO person shall let or offer to let to another a dwelling or dwelling unit unless a current certificate of compliance with housing standards has been issued by the city in the owner's name for each dwelling or dwelling unit to let or offered to let.
