Parade Season Continues This Saturday with the Illuminated Knight Parade in Ybor City

This information is 2 years 4 months old and may no longer be accurate.

Parade season continues, as the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago prepares to take over Ybor City this Saturday, February 8th, for the annual Illuminated Knight Parade.

Kings and queens will take the streets of Ybor from 7-8:30 pm with illuminated floats, costumed knights, music, dancing, and—of course—beads! The parade begins at Nuccio Parkway in Ybor City and will run about ten blocks.

Mayor Jane Castor will be joining the parade, on the lookout for Castor’s Krewe. The public is invited to decorate their parade signs with “Castor’s Krewe” for a chance to catch the Mayor’s eye and some special pirate booty too.

Traffic Advisory

Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal this Saturday due to the Knight Parade. Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to allow for extra travel time and to plan ahead to avoid road closures.

Those voyaging to the parade are also encouraged to enjoy FREE passage aboard the TECO Line Streetcar. The streetcar runs every 15 minutes between downtown Tampa and Ybor City.
