A portion of Channelside Drive between S Morgan Street and S Meridian Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small cell wireless facility on the south side of Channelside Drive between S Nebraska Avenue and Water Street (formerly Old Water Street).
One (1) eastbound lane on Channelside Drive between S Nebraska Avenue and Water Street will close at 9 am beginning on August 5, 2020. One (1) lane of eastbound traffic on Channelside Drive between S Nebraska Avenue and Water Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
All lanes on Channelside Drive between S Nebraska Avenue and Water Street will be open by 4 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
