A portion of E Washington Street between N Morgan Street and N Marion Street closed at 9 am on Friday, February 27, 2020 for utility construction. A private contractor is installing a water service connection and performing right of way improvements on E Washington Street for a new three (3)-story office building located on the northeast corner of E Washington Street and N Marion Street.
The westbound lane on E Washington Street between N Morgan Street and N Marion Street closed on February 27, 2020.
The sidewalks within the work area will also be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
It is anticipated that E Washington Street between N Morgan Street and N Marion Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2020, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
