Temporary Lane Closure W Bay to Bay Boulevard to begin December 7, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will close daily beginning on Monday, December 7, 2020 for utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be performing sewer maintenance in two phases on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue. In Phase 1 sewer lines will be cleaned. Phase 2 will be relining of the sewer lines. Both phases will include intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue. Phase 1 will begin at 9 am on December 7, 2020.

 

One (1) lane of eastbound and westbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

 

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020, weather permitting.

 

Phase 2 will begin at a later date.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W El Prado Boulevard between S West Shore Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue, in lieu of W Bay to Bay Boulevard.
