A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Rome Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard and W Bay to Bay Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will close daily beginning on Monday, December 7, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing communication conduit along Bayshore Boulevard and along W Bay to Bay Boulevard.
One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard and the westbound lane on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound On-ramp will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on December 7, 2020.
One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Westbound traffic on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound On-ramp will be maintained in the eastbound left turn lane at all times during construction, with delays.
The sidewalks within the work areas will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.
All lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between S Howard Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard and all lanes on Bayshore Boulevard and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound On-ramp will reopen to traffic by 3 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Southbound motorist can use S MacDill Avenue between W Morrison Avenue/S Howard Avenue and Bay to Bay Boulevard, in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
Westbound motorist can use W El Prado Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue, in lieu of Bay to Bay Boulevard.
