Temporary Lane Closures S Davis Boulevard began Monday, August 24, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of S Davis Boulevard between W Davis Boulevard and E Davis Boulevard closed at 7 am on Monday, August 24, 2020, as part of Davis Islands Water Main Replacement project.  A City contractor is installing water main on S Davis Boulevard/ E Davis Boulevard between Marmora Avenue and Adalia Avenue. The construction work will be completed in 11 phases.

During Phase 2, one (1) eastbound lane and one (1) westbound lane closed on S Davis Boulevard between Marmora Avenue and Hudson Avenue at 7 am on August 24, 2020.  Eastbound and westbound motorists will be maintained in the existing parking lanes on S Davis Boulevard between Marmora Avenue and Hudson Avenue.

Parking on S Davis Boulevard between Marmora Avenue and Hudson Avenue will be prohibited during Phase 2 construction.

Adjacent property owners will be restricted to right-in and right-out turning movements during construction.

Phase 3 will begin immediately upon the completion of Phase 2 construction. 

All businesses will remain open and accessible throughout the duration of the phased construction.

The construction project is scheduled to be completed by April 2021, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Westbound and eastbound motorists can use W Davis Boulevard between E Davis Boulevard and S Davis Boulevard to avoid traffic congestion.
