Starting at 9am on Wednesday, August 5, the inside northbound, southbound and turning lanes will close at the intersection of S Manhattan Avenue and W Fair Oaks Avenue while a department contractor begins cleaning the wastewater gravity pipes in the area. The outermost northbound and southbound lanes will remain open at all times, with delays. The sidewalks near the southbound will also be closed. This scheduled maintenance will take place daily between the hours of 9am -4pm through August 28, weather permitting.
Signage and barricades will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. A hi-resolution map of the work area is embedded below. The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
