A portion of N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street closed on Monday, November 2, 2020, for utility construction. A utility contractor has closed N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street to install a TECO electrical duct bank. The work will be done in two (2) phases.
During phase one (1) all lanes on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street closed at 9 am beginning on November 2, 2020.
Phase 2 construction to begin at 9 am on Monday, November 23, 2020. During phase two (2) all lanes on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street will be closed.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times during construction.
N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, December 4, 2020, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
