N. Rome Ave. from W. Fig St. to W. Kennedy Blvd. will be closed from Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, February 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. as part of the Cypress Street Outfall Regional Stormwater Improvements Project. A city contractor will be installing box culverts, water mains, wastewater, sidewalks, and a new roadway. The sidewalks in the construction area will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area via signage.
Work on W. Cass St. between N. Willow Ave. and N. Rome Ave. began on February 11, 2020, and is anticipated to continue through October 31, 2020, with schedules contingent upon weather conditions.
Work on N. Rome Ave. between W. Cass St. and W. Fig St. began on July 24, 2020, and is anticipated to continue through January 8, 2021, with schedules contingent upon weather conditions.
