Our mission is to provide quality programming and promote lifelong community connections through the education of visual arts in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere.
We offer a wide range of classes including: ceramic sculpture, pottery, oil painting, watercolor, drawing, digital, mixed media, jewelry, glass fusion, stained glass, fiber arts, and printmaking. In addition, we provide youth summer specialty camps with themed week-long full day and half day camps.

Youth Summer Camps
Art Explorations is devoted to developing young artists through many different facets of art history, world cultures, and artistic styles. Themes in the past have run the gamut of fun and adventure visiting Jurassic eras, sailing the pirate seas and rocketing to outer space with art. These camps offer something for every palette!
Kids Create camps carry different themes from week to week. Our mission in educating young minds about art is to introduce them to different art movements, artists, and help them to develop and tap into their own creativity. Many mediums are investigated including: printmaking, glass fusion, painting, drawing, sewing, clay and much more!
Specialty Workshops
Throughout the year, in collaboration with Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc, the Art Division hosts guest artists for specialty workshops. Artists are sought out both locally and nationally to visit our studios and provide the students with new perspectives for approaching art.
