Beginning at 9am today, all travel lanes on S Himes Ave will be closed between W San Luis St and W Leona St while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm today and then close again on Monday, September 26, at 9am to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area. Modifications may be necessary during the course of the work.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Tuesday, September 27. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
