Beginning at 9am today, the outside westbound lane on West Kennedy Boulevard will be closed between North Hubert Avenue and North Manhattan Avenue while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm and then close again the following morning at 9am to continue the work. All lanes will also be open to traffic between 5pm Friday, January 13 and 9am Monday, January 16. Following the weekend, the lane will remain closed between 9am and 5pm until the work is complete.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Tuesday, January 17. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work. An update will be provided at that time. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
