Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, department crews are closing a portion N 15th Street between E Fowler Avenue and E 113th Avenue to replace a severely deteriorated manhole frame and cover. Detours and signage will be in place to reroute traffic. Safe access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
This repair is scheduled for completion by 4 p.m. and the road re-opened. Barricades will be placed over the work site and traffic rerouted around this area until restoration of the road has been completed. Restoration of the road will be completed by close of business on Monday, January 24, weather permitting. Normal traffic patterns will then resume. The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
