W Grand Central Ave between S Hyde Park Blvd and S Cedar Ave will close at 9am on September 19. Department crews are repairing a sewer mainline and replacing a manhole. Sidewalks in the area will remain open. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Please consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Safe access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
Completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm on Friday, September 23. A high-resolution map of the work area and detour routes is embedded below. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
