Starting at 9am on May 30, Wastewater Department crews will close the southbound lanes on N Rome Ave between W Hillsborough Ave and W Brandon Dr to repair a sewer mainline and restore a depression in the road. Signage and traffic control devices will be in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Safe access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
Construction and restoration work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, June 2. Normal traffic patterns will then resume. A map of the work area and recommended detour routes is embedded below. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
