On October 26, department crews are closing a portion of N MacDill Avenue between W Tampa Bay Blvd and W Columbus Drive to repair a sewer mainline pipe. Safe access to businesses and residences for local traffic on N MacDill between W Aileen Street and W Kathleen Street will be maintained. Detour signage will be on site to assist with rerouting traffic and traffic flow.
Motorists are advised to follow the detour routes below:
- Northbound traffic will detour at W Columbus Drive east to N Habana Avenue or west to N Himes Avenue
- Southbound traffic will detour at W Tampa Bay Blvd east to N Habana Avenue or west to N Himes Avenue
The scheduled completion date for this repair, including restoration of the road, is close of business on November 2, weather permitting. The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. See all road closures at tampa.gov/RoadClosures
