Temporary Lane Closure on Bayshore Boulevard to begin October 29, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between S Rome Avenue and S Howard Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on Friday, October 29, 2021.  A private contractor will install a water service connection and a fire hydrant on the north side of Bayshore Boulevard between S De Soto Avenue and S Howard Avenue.

One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Albany Avenue and S Howard Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on October 29, 2021. 

One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S Albany Avenue and S Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The southbound right-turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard between S De Soto Avenue and S Howard Avenue is currently closed under a separate construction project.

Right turn movements from Bayshore Boulevard onto S Howard Avenue will be maintained during construction from a shortened section of the southbound right-turn lane on Bayshore Boulevard at S Howard Avenue.

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

The two (2) southbound through lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between S Albany Avenue and S Howard Avenue will be open by 3 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Southbound motorists can use W Morrison Avenue between S Rome Avenue and S Howard Avenue, in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
