A portion of E 7th Avenue between N 34th Street and N 21st Street/N 22nd Street that closed on Monday, December 20, 2021, for road construction will be extended.   A City contractor will be constructing roadway improvements on the north side of E 7th Avenue, between N 26th Street and N 24th Street as part of Phase 1 of a 2-phase YBOR City Streetscape Improvements project.

The westbound lane on E 7th Avenue between N 26th Street and N 24th Street closed at 7 am on December 20, 2021.

Access onto E 7th Avenue from N 25th Street, north of E 7th Avenue, will be prohibited during construction.

The sidewalk on the north side of E 7th Avenue between N 26th Street and N 24th Street will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

Phase 2 will commence immediately after the completion of Phase 1 and will include closing the eastbound lanes on E 7th Avenue between N 24th Street and N 26th Street for the construction of streetscape improvements on the south side of E 7th Avenue.

The entire project is expected to be completed by 4 pm on Monday, August 1, 2022.
