A portion of E 7th Avenue between Nick Nuccio Parkway and N 21st Street/N 22nd Street will close daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm beginning on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 for building construction. A private contractor will utilize the eastbound lane of E 7th Avenue between N 15th Street and N 16th Street to offload materials for a new 4-story mixed-use building at 1531 E 7th Avenue.
The eastbound lane on E 7th Avenue between N 15th Street and N 16th Street will close at 9 am on November 3, 2021.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on E 7th Avenue between N 15th Street and N 16th Street will be intermittently maintained on the north side of E 7th Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.
In addition, N 16th Street between E 7th Avenue and E 6th Avenue will be closed daily from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday, during construction.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times during construction.
E 7th Avenue between N 15th Street and N 16th Street will reopen to traffic by 3 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, weather permitting.
Building construction is expected to be completed by January 31, 2022, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
