Temporary Lane Closure on Henderson Boulevard to begin July 22nd 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of Henderson Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and S Church Avenue will close on Thursday, July 22, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and associated utilities on the west side of Henderson Boulevard between W Morrison Avenue and S Church Avenue.  One (1) southbound lane on Henderson Boulevard between W Inman Avenue and S Church Avenue will close at 9 am on July 22, 2021.

One (1) lane of southbound traffic will be maintained on Henderson Boulevard between W Inman Avenue and S Church Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

All lanes on Henderson Boulevard between W Inman Avenue and S Church Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, August 23, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Southbound motorists can use S Himes Avenue/W Neptune Street between W Swann Avenue and W Church Avenue, in lieu of Henderson Boulevard.

Southbound trucks can use S Dale Mabry Highway or S MacDill Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Bay to Bay Boulevard, in lieu of Henderson Boulevard.
