Temporary Lane Closure of Interbay Boulevard to begin November 19, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of Interbay Boulevard between S MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Friday, November 19, 2021, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing gas service connections on the south side of Interbay Boulevard between S Elkins Avenue and S Russell Street.

The eastbound traffic lane on Interbay Boulevard between S Elkins Avenue and S Russell Street will close beginning at 9 am on November 19, 2021.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the north side of Interbay Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays.

It is anticipated that all lanes on Interbay Boulevard between S Elkins Avenue and S Russell Street will be open to traffic 4 pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion. 

Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W Gandy Boulevard between S MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard, in lieu of Interbay Boulevard.
