Temporary Lane Closure N 43rd Street to begin February 21st 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N 43rd Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Hanna Avenue will close daily between 9 am and 4 pm beginning on Sunday, February 21, 2021, for utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be installing a water sampling station on the west side of N 43rd Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Diana Street.

The southbound lane on N 43rd Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Diana Street will close at 9 am beginning on February 21, 2021. 

Southbound and northbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the east side of N 43rd Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Diana Street at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

N 43rd Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Diana Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Southbound and northbound motorists can use N 56th Street between E Sligh Avenue and E Hanna Avenue, in lieu of N 43rd Street.
