Temporary Lane Closure on N Armenia Avenue began November 30, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Armenia Avenue between W Waters Avenue and W Sligh Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, for utility construction.  A TECO contractor will be installing a power pole and underground electric conduits on the west side of N Armenia Avenue between W Rose Hill Avenue and W Bird Street. 

The southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Rose Hill Avenue and W Bird Street closed at 9 am on November 30, 2021. 

Southbound and northbound traffic on N Armenia Avenue between W Rose Hill Avenue and W Bird Street Avenue will be intermittently maintained on the east side of N Armenia Avenue at all times during construction, with delays. 

The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.

All lanes on N Armenia Avenue between W Rose Hill Avenue and W Bird Street Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, February 28, 2022, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. Southbound and northbound motorists can use N Rome Avenue between W Waters Avenue and W Sligh Avenue in lieu of N Armenia Avenue.

Southbound and northbound trucks can use N Florida Avenue or N Dale Mabry Highway between W Waters Avenue and W Sligh Avenue in lieu of N Armenia Avenue.
