Temporary Lane Closure on N Habana Avenue to begin on March 29, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Hillsborough Avenue will close from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, March 29, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and associated utilities on the east side of N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Eddy Drive. One (1) northbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Eddy Drive will close daily beginning at 9 am on March 29, 2021.

One (1) northbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Eddy Drive will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalks within the work areas will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Eddy Drive will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, April 9, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Northbound motorists can use N Armenia Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Hillsborough Avenue, in lieu of N Habana Avenue.
