Temporary Lane Closure on North Boulevard to begin October 18, 2021 for Sidewalk Construction

A portion of North Boulevard between W Columbus Drive and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, October 18, 2021 for sidewalk construction.  A private contractor will be replacing the existing sidewalk on the east side of North Boulevard between W Euclid Avenue and W Warren Avenue for a new townhouse development.  The northbound traffic lane on North Boulevard between W Columbus Drive and W Plaza Place will close at 9 am on October 18, 2021.

Northbound traffic on North Boulevard between W Columbus Drive and W Plaza Place will be maintained in the center left turn lane at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

All lanes on North Boulevard between W Columbus Drive and W Plaza Place will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Northbound motorists and trucks can use N Florida Avenue between W Columbus Drive and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, in lieu of North Boulevard.
