Temporary Lane Closure on S Manhattan Avenue to begin April 5th 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of S Manhattan Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard W Euclid Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, April 5, 2021 for utility construction.  A private contractor will be installing a small wireless facility on the west side of S Manhattan Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard and W Kensington Avenue. One (1) southbound lane on S Manhattan Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard and W Kensington Avenue will close at 9 am on April 5, 2021. 

One (1) southbound lane on S Manhattan Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard and W Kensington Avenue will maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

All lanes on S Manhattan Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard and W Kensington Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Southbound motorists can use S Dale Mabry Highway or S West Shore Boulevard between W El Prado Boulevard and W Euclid Avenue, in lieu of S Manhattan Avenue.

Southbound trucks can use S Dale Mabry Highway between W Bay to Bay Boulevard and W Gandy Boulevard, in lieu of S Manhattan Avenue.
