Temporary Lane Closure on W Cypress Street to begin February 7, 2022 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, February 7, 2022, for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a gas service line across W Cypress Street between N Renellie Drive and N West Shore Boulevard.

One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will close at 9 am beginning on February 7, 2022.

One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk in the work areas will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area with signage.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Manhattan Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard will be open by 4 pm on Monday, March 28, 2022, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Westbound motorists and trucks can use W Kennedy Boulevard or W Boy Scout Boulevard between N Lois Avenue and N West Shore Boulevard, in lieu of W Cypress Street.
