Temporary Lane Closure on W Cypress Street to begin February 8th 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N O’Brien Street and N Lois Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, February 8, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing underground communication lines on the south side of W Cypress Street between N Occident Street and N Trask Street.

One (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Occident Street and N Trask Street will close at 9 am on February 8, 2021.

One (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Trask Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between N Occident Street and N Trask Street will be open by 4 pm on Monday, March 15, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Eastbound motorists on W Cypress Street should allow additional time when traveling between N O’Brien Street and N Lois Avenue during the construction.
