Temporary Lane Closure W Cypress Street to begin May 10th 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N West Shore Boulevard and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, May 10, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and electrical conduit on W Cypress Street between Interstate 275 W Frontage Road and N Reo Street. One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between E Frontage Road and N Reo Street and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp and Interstate 275 W Frontage Road will close at 9 am beginning on May 10, 2021.

One (1) westbound lane on W Cypress Street between E Frontage Road and N Reo Street and one (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp and Interstate 275 W Frontage Road will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area with signage.

All lanes on W Cypress Street between W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp and E Frontage Road will be open by 4 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that westbound and eastbound motorists traveling on W Cypress Street between E Frontage Road and and W LaSalle Street/Airport-Cypress Ramp allow more time to drive between May 10, 2021 through June 18, 2021.
