On Tuesday, October 25 at 9am, department crews are closing the inside westbound curb lane of W Kennedy Blvd between S Packwood and S Rome Avenues to repair a sewer mainline pipe. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. While this repair is underway, a portion of the sidewalk near the work area will also be closed. Department crews will install signage to assist with detouring pedestrian traffic. Eastbound traffic will not be impacted. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Safe access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
Completion of the repair and restoration of the road is expected no later than close of business on October 28. Normal traffic and pedestrian traffic patterns will then resume. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. See all road closures at www.tampagov.net/RoadClosures
