Temporary Lane Closure W Swann Avenue to begin December 17, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Swann Avenue between S Lois Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm, beginning on Friday, December 17, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing gas service to a property on the north side of W Swann Avenue between S Church Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway. The eastbound lane on W Swann Avenue between S Church Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway will close at 9 am beginning on December 17, 2021.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the north side of W Swann Avenue between S Church Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area during construction.

All traffic lanes on W Swann Avenue between S Church Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway will be open by 4 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W Azeele Street between S Lois Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway, in lieu of W Swann Avenue.
