Temporary Lane Closures on Channelside Drive, S Morgan Street and Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit Ramp to begin April 18th 2021 for Road Construction

A portion of Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will close for one (1) night on Sunday, April 18, 2021 for road construction.  A City of Tampa contractor will install signal pole mast arms on the northwest corner of Channelside Drive and S Morgan Street.  

One (1) lanes on Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, one (1) southbound lane on S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will close at 11 pm on April 18, 2021. 

Two (2) lanes on Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, one (1) southbound lane on S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6A Florida Avenue off ramp will be maintained during construction, with delays.

All lanes on Channelside Drive between S Florida Avenue and S Morgan Street, S Morgan Street between E Brorein Street and Channelside Drive and the Selmon Expressway Eastbound Exit 6B Channelside Drive/S Morgan Street off ramp will be open to traffic by 5 am on Monday, April 19, 2021, weather permitting.    

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
