Temporary Lane Closures on E Davis Blvd between Chesapeake Ave and Barbados Ave for Intersection Repairs

A portion of E Davis Blvd between Chesapeake Ave and Barbados Ave will have daily north bound lane closures beginning on Monday, November 15, 2021 while repairs to the brick intersections are completed. The intersections that will be repaired are located at Chesapeake Ave, Biscayne Ave, and Barbados Avenue along E Davis Blvd. A City of Tampa contractor has been improving road surfaces following an earlier water main replacement project.

Traffic Impact

  • A portion of E Davis Blvd between Chesapeake Ave and Barbados Ave will experience intermittent daily lane closures.
  • Flaggers will maintain alternating northbound and southbound traffic from Monday through Friday, from 6am to 7pm. Drivers should expect to experience some delays.
  • Northbound traffic between E Davis Blvd between Chesapeake Ave and Barbados Ave will be closed to all northbound traffic between 7pm and 6am. Detour signs will be posted.
  • Sidewalks within the work areas will remain open. Safety fencing at the work locations will be installed between the sidewalk and the work.
     

This work is part of a larger capital improvement project. These repairs are scheduled to be completed by Friday, November 19, 2021. The entire construction project is scheduled to be completed by the Summer of 2022.
