A portion of E Twiggs Street between N Meridian Avenue and N Jefferson Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing communication conduits on the north side of E Twiggs Street between N Meridian Avenue and N Jefferson Street. One (1) westbound lane on E Twiggs Street between N Meridian Avenue and N Jefferson Street will close at 9 beginning on August 25, 2021.
One (1) westbound lane on E Twiggs Street between N Meridian Avenue and N Jefferson Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
It is anticipated that all lanes on E Twiggs Street between N Meridian Avenue and N Jefferson Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, September 24, 2021, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
