A portion of E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Ashley Drive and N Tampa Street between E Laurel Street and E Tyler Street will close on Sunday, June 6, 2021, for road maintenance. A private contractor will be installing pavement markings and signage on the north side of E Tyler Street between N Tampa Street and N Ashley Drive for the new University of Tampa residential high-rise.
One (1) westbound lane on E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Ashley Drive and the southbound right turn lane on N Tampa Street between I-275 Tampa Street off-ramp and E Tyler Street will close at 7 am on June 6, 2021.
The westbound left turn lane on E Tyler Street between N Franklin Street and N Tampa Street and three (3) southbound lanes on N Tampa Street between E Royal Street and E Tyler Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.
All lanes on E Tyler Street and N Tampa Street are scheduled to reopen to traffic by 6 pm on Sunday, June 6, 2021, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
