Temporary Lane Closures N Armenia Avenue that began August 23, 2021 for Road Improvements to be Extended

A portion of N Armenia Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard that closed daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, August 23, 2021, for road improvements will be extended.  A Hillsborough County contractor will be performing road improvements, including milling and resurfacing, sidewalk, and signalization improvements on N Armenia Avenue between N Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Orient Street.

One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between N Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Orient Street closed at 9 am on August 23, 2021.

One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between N Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Orient Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

All lanes on N Armenia Avenue between N Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Orient Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Northbound and southbound motorists can use N Habana Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in lieu of N Armenia Avenue. 

Northbound and southbound trucks can use N Himes Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in lieu of N Armenia Avenue.
