Temporary Lane Closures N Armenia Avenue to begin January 18, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, January 18, 2021 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility on the east side and electrical conduit on the west side of N Armenia Avenue between W Hanna Avenue and W Diana Street.

One (1) northbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Hanna Avenue and W Diana Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Knollwood Street and W Jean Street will close at 9 am on January 18, 2021.

One (1) northbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Hanna Avenue and W Diana Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Knollwood Street and W Jean Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

All lanes on N Armenia Avenue between W Hanna Avenue and W Knollwood Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Northbound and southbound motorists can use N Rome Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue, in lieu of N Armenia Avenue. 

Northbound and southbound trucks can use N Florida Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue, in lieu of N Armenia Avenue.
