Temporary Lane Closures on N Habana Avenue to begin on August 12, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Habana Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Hillsborough Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, August 12, 2021 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and associated utilities on N Habana Avenue between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Bel Aire Circle. One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Virginia Avenue and W Eddy Drive will close beginning at 9 am on August 12, 2021.

One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Virginia Avenue and W Eddy Drive will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalks within the work areas will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Habana Avenue between W Virginia Avenue and W Eddy Drive will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Northbound motorists can use N Armenia Avenue or N Himes Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Hillsborough Avenue, in lieu of N Habana Avenue.
