Temporary Lane Closures on N Howard Avenue and N Armenia Avenue to begin January 24, 2022 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Howard Avenue between W Platt Street/W Cleveland Street and W Cass Street and N Armenia Avenue between W Cypress Street and W Kennedy Boulevard will close for 2 nights beginning on Monday, January 24, 2022 for roadway restoration associated with the previous utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be milling and paving N Howard Avenue and N Armenia Avenue at the intersections at W Gray Street. One (1) northbound lane on N Howard Avenue between W Cleveland Street and W North A Street, two (2) northbound lanes on N Howard Avenue between W North A Street and W Carmen Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Lemon Street and W Fig Street will close from 7 pm to 6 am on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Two (2) northbound lanes on N Howard Avenue between W Cleveland Street and W North A Street, one (1) northbound lane on N Howard Avenue between W North A Street and W Carmen Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Lemon Street and W Fig Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on N Howard Avenue and N Armenia Avenue will be open to traffic by 6 am on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Northbound and southbound motorists can use N MacDill Avenue or N Willow Avenue between W Cypress Street and W Kennedy Boulevard, in lieu of N Howard Avenue or N Armenia Avenue.

Northbound and southbound trucks can use N MacDill Avenue or N Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Kennedy Boulevard, in lieu of N Howard Avenue or N Armenia Avenue.
