Temporary Lane Closures of N Jefferson Street and E Cass Street to begin August 2, 2021 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Cass Street and a portion of E Cass Street between N Nebraska Avenue and N Jefferson Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, August 2, 2021, for utility construction.  A boring contractor will be performing soil borings on the east side of N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Cass Street and on the north side of E Cass Street between Hank Ballard Street and Governor Street.  One (1) northbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Cass Street and one (1) westbound lane on E Cass Street between Hank Ballard Street and Governor Street will close beginning at 9 am on August 2, 2021.

One (1) northbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Cass Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays. 

Westbound traffic on E Cass Street between Hank Ballard Street and Governor Street will be shifted to the center auxiliary lane.  Eastbound and westbound traffic on E Cass Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Cass Street and all lanes on E Cass Street between Hank Ballard Street and Governor Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
