Temporary Lane Closures N Rome Avenue to begin February 22, 2022, for HART Bus Shelter Construction

A portion of N Rome Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and Wishart Boulevard will close daily beginning at 9 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, for construction of two (2) HART bus shelters. A private contractor will install bus shelters on the northwest and southeast corners of N Rome Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue.

One (1) southbound lane on N Rome Avenue between W Mohawk Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue and one (1) northbound lane on N Rome Avenue between W Brandon Drive and W Hillsborough Avenue will close at 9 am on February 22, 2022. One (1) southbound lane on N Rome Avenue between W Mohawk Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue and one (1) northbound lane on N Rome Avenue between W Brandon Drive and W Hillsborough Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on N Rome Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Wishart Boulevard will be open to traffic by 4 pm by Friday, April 8, 2022, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion. Southbound and northbound motorists can use N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Wishart Boulevard in lieu of N Rome Avenue.
