Temporary Lane Closures on N Westshore Boulevard at W Kennedy Boulevard to begin October 10, 2022, for Water Main Installation

Beginning Monday, October 10, 2022, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the northbound lanes at the intersection of N Westshore Boulevard and W Kennedy Boulevard will be closed for water main installation as part of the Florida Department of Transportation and City of Tampa Kennedy Boulevard Water Main Relocation Project.

Three (3) northbound lanes on N West Shore Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W North A Street will close at 8 p.m. on October 10, 2022.

Motorists traveling west on W Kennedy Boulevard will be detoured north via Route 60 (Memorial Highway) to W Spruce Street onto N Westshore Boulevard.

Motorists traveling east on W Kennedy Boulevard will be detoured north via N Lois Avenue to W Cypress Street onto N Westshore Boulevard.

Motorists traveling north on S West Shore Boulevard will be detoured west onto Route 60 (W Kennedy Boulevard / Memorial Highway) to W Spruce Street or east onto W Kennedy Boulevard to N Lois Avenue before turning left onto W Cypress Street.

All southbound lanes on N Westshore Boulevard will remain open to traffic. Northbound lanes on N Westshore beyond the intersection closure will remain open to traffic.

The northbound lanes at the intersection of N Westshore Boulevard and W Kennedy Boulevard will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, weather permitting.

Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to assist with traffic flow. Please use caution when driving in the area.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
