Posted Date

A portion of S West Shore Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, December 14, 2020 for utility construction. A City of Tampa contractor will be performing sewer maintenance in two phases on S West Shore Boulevard between W San Rafael Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard. In Phase 1, sewer lines will be cleaned. Phase 2 will be relining of the sewer lines. Both phases will include intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures and lane shifts on S West Shore Boulevard between W San Rafael Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard. Phase 1 will begin at 9 am on December 14, 2020.

One (1) lane of southbound and northbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on S West Shore Boulevard between W San Rafael Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays. Left turn movements on S West Shore Boulevard at W San Jose Street will be prohibited during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on S West Shore Boulevard between W San Rafael Street and W Bay to Bay Boulevard will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020, weather permitting.

Phase 2 will begin at a later date.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Southbound and northbound motorists can use S Lois Avenue/Henderson Boulevard between W Swann Avenue and W Bay to Bay Boulevard, in lieu of S West Shore Boulevard.
